George Gossett Jr., Child Injured in Car Accident in Lancaster, TX
Dallas County, TX — March 9, 2024, George Gossett Jr. and a young boy were injured in a car accident shortly before 1:30 p.m. along Dallas Avenue, S.H. 342.
According to authorities, 53-year-old George Gossett and a 2-year-old boy were traveling in a northbound Chrysler behind a Ford F-250 on S.H. 342 in the vicinity north of Delle Lane when the accident took place.

Officials indicate that the pickup truck began slowing and pulling right toward the east shoulder in preparation of attempting a U-turn onto southbound Dallas Avenue. The Chrysler moved over and continued its northward trajectory in the southbound lane in order to pass the pickup truck. However, the truck proceeded with its U-turn, leading to a collision between the front-end of the Chrysler and the left side of the pickup truck. Both vehicles came to a stop facing northwest in the ditch on the west side of the Dallas Avenue.
Gossett and the two-year-old both sustained suspected severe injuries as a result of the accident. They were transported to local medical facilities by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
