Minor Killed, Jose Junior Loyola, Jennifer Rascher Injured in Multi-vehicle Truck Accident on F.M. 3286 in Collin County, TX
UPDATE (February 12, 2024): Recent reports state that, in addition to the 9-year-old who lost his life as a result of this accident, two people were injured: 20-year-old Jose Junior Loyola, who had been in the Jeep, and 41-year-old Jennifer Rascher, an occupant of the Versa. Each of them were transported by EMS to local medical facilities for treatment.
Collin County, TX — January 31, 2024, a minor was killed and two others were injured in a multi-vehicle truck accident at around 3:45 p.m. along Lucas Road.
According to authorities, the accident took place on a bridge road that crosses over a portion of the west side of Lavon Lake.

Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a Jeep collided with the back of a sedan, causing both vehicles to lose control. This resulted in both a work truck and a school bus being involved in the collision, as well. A minor who had reportedly been a passenger in the back of the sedan incurred fatal injuries as a result of the accident. One other person—who was allegedly a passenger in one of the passenger vehicles—was also injured and had to be transported to a local hospital by EMS in order to receive treatment.
Additional details pertaining to this incident—including the identities of those involved—are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
