Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
I certainly don't know more about this wreck than what's been made public already. However, anytime there's a motorcycle accident, it's important to be wary of the details authorities come up with. Frankly, a lot of people are negatively biased against motorcyclists, and this sometimes leads officials to jump to conclusions or move on before they've really looked into all of the details. Regardless of what causes an accident, the victims and families left behind at least deserve to know they're getting all the facts, and that can only happen when investigators are unbiased and let the evidence speak for itself. Perhaps authorities were able to do that here, but if this crash would fare better in the hands of more experienced independent accident reconstructionists, it would be far from the first time.
