Rolando Ramirez Martinez Killed in Work Fall Accident in Tyler, TX
Tyler, TX — March 28, 2022, Rolando Ramirez Martinez was killed after an accident where he fell through a roof on a work site along Troup Highway.
Authorities with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration said the work site was located at 1607 Troup Highway off the corner of East Barbara Street. This appears to be the address for Green Acres Baptist Church.

Details in the OSHA summary say that 32-year-old Rolando Ramirez Martinez was on a roof along with a crew removing shingles from the church roof. While working, it appears Ramirez Martinez somehow fell through the roof to the ground below.
The fall incident resulted in fatal injuries. Additional circumstances surrounding the death of Ramirez Martinez are unclear at this time. OSHA officials listed at least one alleged violation, which was labeled as "serious." Other details about the investigation are unavailable at this time.
