Dillon Fowler Injured in Truck Accident in Austin, TX
Austin, TX — July 5, 2024, Dillon Fowler was injured as the result of a truck accident at around 2:14 a.m. along Interstate 35.
According to initial details about the accident, it happened in the area of I-35 and William Cannon Drive.
Investigators said that 27-year-old Dillon Fowler was on a motorcycle going southbound along the interstate. While doing so, a multi-vehicle collision between the motorcycle, a car, and an 18-wheeler occurred.
Dillon Fowler reportedly had serious injuries due to the crash. The driver of the car had reported moderate injuries. At this time, additional details are unavailable.

The facts about what happened here aren't entirely clear. I just hope the investigations were fair. Throughout my career, I've seen countless examples of motorcycle accidents not getting the attention they deserve. A lot of people have a negative bias against motorcyclists, so they tend to jump to conclusions. That can lead to shoddy investigations if authorities don't put aside that bias and focus on getting the facts. If authorities weren't able to do that here, hopefully more thorough independent investigations were able to pick up the slack.
