Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
Anytime there are icy roads involved in an accident, it's important to know how thorough the investigations were. Sometimes, authorities might be hasty and assume the whole thing was due to the weather. But if they fail to conduct a proper accident reconstruction, they might allow crucial evidence slip through the cracks. That's why it's important victims and families gauge the kind of information they get from the authorities. If they feel that there are doubts and questions authorities aren't addressing, it may be that some details went unnoticed and may need further investigations.
