Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
There are departments that are trained and equipped to investigate these kinds of accidents, and I have little doubt they're looking into what went wrong here. However, a lot of people call me despite the fact authorities are already looking into their accidents. Why? Generally, it's because officials often go weeks or even months without ever giving the family any clear answers. Sometimes, it takes outside pressure to keep families in the loop so they at least know they're going to get the full story. Hopefully authorities here are more open with the victims' loved ones as the investigations go forward.
