Teen Injured in Pedestrian Accident on I-30 in Arlington, TX
Arlington, TX — December 23, 2024, a teenager was injured following a car versus pedestrian accident at around 9:47 p.m. along Interstate 30.
Preliminary details about the accident say that it took place between Six Flags Drive and Great Southwest Parkway.

According to officials, a 19-year-old man was on foot at the time in the area of westbound lanes of the interstate. A Toyota Corolla was going westbound on I-30 when it struck the teen pedestrian. Due to this, the teenager had serious injuries.
No other injuries were reported. Authorities did not report charges or citations. Right now, additional details about the accident are unavailable.

People tend to brush pedestrian accidents aside, but they need thorough investigations just like any serious accident. The problem is that authorities don't always agree. Even if officers would take the time and effort to do a good job, their supervisors may rush them to move on to priorities they feel are more important. The victims and families involved, though, may be left without answers if that happens.
