Man Injured in Car Accident on North Chaparral Street in Corpus Christi, TX
Corpus Christi, TX — December 10, 2023, a man was injured following a car accident at around 2:20 a.m. along North Chaparral Street.
According to initial details released by authorities, the crash happened in the area of the North Chaparral Street and Lawrence Street intersection.

Investigators said in their statements that a 26-year-old man was one of several passengers in an Infiniti Q60 that was going eastbound on Lawrence Street. That vehicle was reportedly making a right turn to go southbound on Chaparral, and that driver is said to have had the green light. While turning, police say a southbound Dodge Ram pickup ran the light and crashed into the side of the Infiniti.
As a result of the collision, the 26-year-old man in the Infiniti had serious injuries. It's unclear whether or not there were any other serious injuries resulting from the crash. Most recent information alleges that the Dodge driver was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash and was recommended to be charged for DWI.
