Grapevine, TX — May 5, 2024, Christopher Richardson was injured following a car accident at around 10:25 p.m. along South Main Street.
Authorities said in preliminary investigations that the accident happened at South Main Street and East Franklin Street.

Investigators said that 50-year-old Christopher Arrick Richardson was on a Yamaha motorcycle traveling northbound on Main Street. Just off Franklin, the motorcycle somehow lost control and crashed, ejecting the rider. Due to this, Richardson reportedly had serious injuries. No one else appears to have been involved.
Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
When it comes to motorcycle wrecks, one of my biggest concerns is always whether or not authorities actually gave them enough attention. I've had too many victims and families come to me after motorcycle wrecks where authorities essentially looked at the crash scene and wrote everything off as the rider's fault without actually letting the evidence speak for itself. I certainly can't say what did or didn't happen here, but there are often extenuating circumstances to address that such shallow investigations can overlook.
Were there issues with the roadway? Did a tire blowout? Did a local alcohol provider illegally over-serve the driver? Did another driver cause the crash and flee the scene? Did a vehicle defect contribute to the accident?
Even if some of these factors aren't all that likely, they've happened before, and they're bound to happen again. It's helpful to at least rule them out so those affected by the crash know they're getting the whole story. That's why when I see these preliminary reports, I assume they're only a fraction of the whole story until evidence shows otherwise.
