Candice Musick, James Musick Injured in Car Accident in Midland, TX
Midland, TX — November 15, 2022, Candice Musick and James Musick were injured in a car accident around 6:42 p.m. on N. Midland Dr. in Midland.
Officials report Candice and James Musick's Toyota Corolla was stopped at a red light facing southbound when it was rear-ended by a Dodge Ram 1500. The Dodge Ram reportedly fled the scene of the crash without providing any information. Police report they found the Dodge Ram 1500 later.
Authorities report Candice Musick was a passenger in the front seat of the Toyota Corolla and suffered serious injuries. James Musick is reported to have possible injuries. Once located, the driver of the Dodge Ram 1500 reportedly had minor injuries.
The speed limit on N. Midland Dr. is 35 mph. The weather was reportedly clear, and officials stated the road was well-lit.
Police recommended charging the driver of the Dodge Ram 1500 with Accident Involving Serious Bodily Injury, a 3rd-degree felony. Authorities have not released if the driver of the Dodge Ram 1500 will face any other charges.
The cause of the crash and why Candice Musick's injuries were severe will need further investigation.
