2 Injured in Car Accident on Crosby Freeway in Harris County, TX
Harris County, TX — October 11, 2025, two people were injured following a car accident at around 5:00 p.m. along the Crosby Freeway.
Investigators said that the incident took place off the corner of US Highway 90 and Runneburg Road.

According to officials, a 67-year-old woman and a 60-year-old man were in a Jeep Wrangler going southwest along the highway. A Toyota Tacoma was going eastbound. At the intersection, the vehicles somehow crossed paths, and a collision occurred.
The two occupants in the Jeep reportedly were seriously injured. No other injuries were reported. At this time, the cause of the crash remains unconfirmed.
Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
When two vehicles collide at an intersection and both occupants of one vehicle are seriously hurt, it’s critical to ask whether the investigation dug deep enough to explain what led up to the crash—especially when the cause isn’t yet confirmed.
1. Did the authorities have the time, equipment, and training to fully investigate the crash?
Intersection crashes require a close look at vehicle positioning, speeds, and driver reaction times. Did investigators map the scene, assess impact angles, and determine right-of-way? That kind of analysis takes tools like crash reconstruction software and the training to use it—resources that aren't always deployed, even in serious injury collisions.
2. Has anyone looked into the possibility that a vehicle defect caused the crash?
When one vehicle ends up in the wrong place at the wrong time, a mechanical failure could be the reason. Brake issues, steering problems, or electronic malfunctions can prevent a driver from responding as expected. Unless the vehicles were inspected closely, those factors could still be unknown.
3. Has all the electronic data relating to the crash been collected?
Both the Jeep and the Toyota likely recorded critical data—vehicle speed, braking, and steering input—which can help clarify how the crash unfolded. GPS history and possible phone activity could add context, but this information is easy to lose if not gathered promptly.
Sometimes, authorities show they did good, thorough investigations. Other times, they show there are shortcomings, and victims can have independent investigators step in to pick up the slack. Either way, the end result should be a clear, evidence-based account of what happened.
Takeaways:
- It's unclear whether investigators had the tools and training to fully analyze the crash scene.
- A mechanical failure in either vehicle could explain what happened but requires inspection to confirm.
- Vehicle and device data may provide missing details—if they were preserved.
